New Uniforms are ordered!

Category : News Item 2016

The final touches have been made on our new provincial shirts and team jackets.  With those changes it became apparent that black shorts would suit the team appearance better than navy.  So note the change in our policy…official team uniform will be black shorts (skort, skirt) or pants along with the new shirts.  We trust that many Alberta Team players already have black ‘bottoms’ but otherwise many stores carry a variety of styles!

Visually Impaired Bowlers Need Assistance

The Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind is a non profit organization that supports blind and visually impaired Albertans, of all ages, to live physically active lives. They do this through sport and recreation programming, exposure events and by partnering with other sport organizations to offer quality programs and experiences for our members. ASRAB is currently seeking individuals interested in supporting our lawn bowl athletes as “Directors”. Directors assist the blind or visually impaired bowler with their positioning for throwing, giving feedback and information about the game and keeping score. If you would be interested in becoming a lawn bowl director, please contact the Edmonton Program Coordinator at or by calling 780-638-1227.
